____Today as I watched my friend lay her head down so peacefully. I can recall when I met her we were only three. And I remember we had a lot in common you see. Like dolls, play dresses, and sitting on our Mothers knees. Then as we grew into little ladies. we both had dolls that looked like real babies. I can also remember when we both gave out a happy cheer. Because on Christmas one year we both got bicycles they hid in the rear.
____Then the day came where we had to start school. Which made us so sad because we were no longer able to go to the pool. I remember we had a lot of fun with finger paintings. That our mothers hated because the paint was always staining. Our prettiest dresses which made it real hard. Especially when we added playing out in the yard. Finally the older we got to be. We learned it was harder to remain free.
____Our time became filled with so many chores. Of homework, writing, and examining the frogs inner core. Then finally we noticed how fast time was flying. The time went by so fast from winter to spring. We finally reached the time when it was graduation, and prom. When she came to me one day to say she was given a ring by Tom. Well graduation came and went. And she and Tom found an apartment to rent.
____They married shortly after, and started their family. But for some reason I decided I wanted to remain free. So there came a time when I moved away. But every summer we would get together to play. We went to places like, Reno, Atlanta, and Las Vegas too. But on our last visit we wound up at the Bronx Zoo. But the time in my life had come where I told her I was moving seas out of her sight. Then she asked me when I was going, and I told in 5 more nights.
____So we spent that evening together talking over some beer. And we decided that we wanted to meet a least once a year. But as life usually has it, you can wind up somewhere. Where you didn't imagine, and it would stop you from traveling over there. And before I knew it we had lost track of each other. But luckily we had some people who knew where we were, thank God for our Mothers. And after 20 years of being apart. She still had a special place in my heart. So I traveled to see her ona very special day. It was her 60th birthday and I wanted to be there so we could play. And that night when I saw her lay her head down so peacefully. I said a prayer for her and her family to always live joyfully and happily._— written by_— Maria-Lyn__on this day of the--20th, of June 2012
