___I watched the news yesterday, 12/7/2012 I viewed the show The Cycle. The show airs on MSNBC at around 2 pm, eastern time. And it has several reporters that cover the show, but it is only one I have a bone to pick with. But first I want to mention why I picked the photo for this article I chose. It is because Our Soldiers have had to do some things in this war. Which I'm sure they are ashamed of but it was forced upon them to do it! Because they are ordered to do these things, and therefore don't have the choice not to, or they would be jailed for disobeying and order. ___Therefore we cannot blame our Soldiers, for the evil things they are forced to do. And we need to honor them for their bravery, as they go to war. And sadly have to leave their loved ones behind to, go to a Country that is in the full turmoil of that war. So the picture is all we can say to them for the service they at times unwillingly give. Yet the News moderator of the Cycle had the nerve to go on Television yesterday. And advocated that torture is OK, as long as you believe the people you are torturing are a radical people. ___This enraged me since, I have written many articles here that spoke about our torture program. And how it was evil, and illegal it was conducted. I wrote about how many of the people that were torture were not even terrorists, but just everyday men and women. Who were just trying to get through their at work, when they were hauled out of their jobs and interrogated just because. Just because at that time no one really knew who was the enemy, so we wound up interrogating them all. No matter who they were, for we included women too, pizza man, teenagers, clerics, grocers, movie theater employees. You name it we got them all in a very through torturing program. ___But I digress when this story, I wanted to write to call attention to the News Moderator Tourre of the Cycle. Which airs on MSNBC news channel. Who I believe advocated for our torture program in the Iraq, and Afghanistan wars, by saying. That he believes he would have tortured people like our CIA, and troops did. And when he said that I thought of all the young people that may hold Toure up as a role model. I wondered what the impact of what he stated that he would have tortured too. I think he gave a big OK to our illegal torture program. Because there is no excuse for torturing anyone, for any reason zero reason no matter what. And by you giving a OK, Toure that is a shameful example of a news moderator. ___I feel you owe me and, Our Troops an apology, for advocating the practice of our illegal torture program. That we use to torture innocent people with, and some of those people died that we tortured too. But I would hope you would do that without having to be asked to. Because what you said truly offended me, and I feel dishonored Our Troops that were forced to conduct these interrogations. I believe Our troops are committing suicide at the rate they are because of all the gross things they were forced to do. Tourre, and I believe that torturing the innocent people we did, which cost some of these people their lives. I believe that you better learn that torture is against the laws of, the Genievea Convention. And these law have never been crossed until this war, and has been advocated as being Legal, Well it is not legal, and the day it starts to be I am no longer an American that is going to sit back. And let anyone advocate it as being OK!! ___And so Tourre, you owe me and the Our Counties Troops an apology. Then I would hope you are a little more careful how you word things in the future. About things as important as torture, so you do not have a bad influence on our young ones. And if you can do that admit you were wrong in the way you presented that. Then I believe there is a hope for you to be a great reporter one day. Thank You from Maria-Lyn's column on newsvine.com. written this day of November 8th, 2012
